Rally ("we", "us") operates hellorally.co, a marketplace that connects people planning events with local party rental vendors in Los Angeles County. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have.
Information we collect
You give us
- Account information: your email address, and your name if you provide it.
- Booking information: event date, delivery address, venue type, surface and power details, and any notes you add for the vendor.
- Waitlist information: your email and ZIP code if you ask to be notified when we launch in your area.
- Vendor information: if you list equipment, your business details, service area, pricing, and certificate of insurance.
We collect automatically
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) used for security and debugging.
- Cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in.
How we use it
- To create your account and sign you in via emailed links.
- To pass your booking details to the vendor you selected, so they can fulfill the booking. This is the core of the service: when you request a booking, the vendor receives your event date, address, and contact details.
- To send transactional email about your bookings — confirmations, declines, changes, weather notices.
- To verify vendor insurance and maintain safety standards.
- To understand demand in areas we don't yet serve.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not send marketing email you didn't ask for.
Who we share it with
- The vendor you book with, as described above.
- Service providers who operate the platform on our behalf: our hosting provider, our database provider, and our email provider. They may process data only to provide those services.
- Legal requirements: if required by law, or to investigate a safety incident or fraud.
Children
Rally is for adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Bookings frequently involve children as guests, but we do not collect information about them — please don't include details about minors in your booking notes beyond what a vendor needs for setup.
Your rights (California residents)
Under the CCPA/CPRA you may request to know what personal information we hold about you, request deletion, request correction, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Email us and we'll respond within the timeframe the law requires.
Retention and security
We keep booking records while your account is active and as needed for tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. Data is stored on managed infrastructure with encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure; we'll notify affected users if a breach occurs, as required by law.
